On February 23, as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the communities of Kostyantynivka and Oleksandriya held a joint spiritual and artistic project for the National Day of Prayer, "We Are United by the Light of Faith."
The event was held with the participation of students from the Kostiantynivka Secondary School No. 5 of the Kostiantynivka City Council and the Humanitarian Lyceum of the Oleksandriya City Council of the Kirovohrad region. The event was organized by the Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunist."
The purpose of the event was to unite children around universal spiritual values, foster a sense of gratitude, empathy, and respect for the history of their country, and strengthen their faith in Ukraine's victory.
The guests of honor at the meeting were well-known poets from the city of Kostiantynivka: Mykhailo Milyan, Olena Stepanchuk, Valentyna Shulga, and Mykola Sushchev. Communicating with the artists gave the event a special sincerity and meaning, as poetry helps children to better understand current events and feel the power of the Ukrainian spirit.
The students actively participated in the program of the event: they recited poems by famous Ukrainian poets on moral and ethical themes and presented their own creative works prepared for the online marathon "M.O.L.Y.T.V.A. of Generations" for the National Day of Prayer. Those present honored the memory of the fallen heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine with a minute of silence.
During the meeting, the main focus was on the values of unity, mutual support, and civic responsibility. There was talk of the endurance, resilience, and strength of spirit of Ukrainians in wartime, and of the importance of preserving humanity and a shared belief in a just peace.
"The light of faith unites us" is not only the name of the event, but also a symbol of the inner strength that Ukrainian children learn to cherish in their hearts even in difficult times. The spiritual and artistic project, part of the national initiative "Side by Side: United Communities," was another step toward strengthening partnerships between communities, developing interregional cooperation, and forming a common educational space based on trust, support, and shared values.
