As part of the state project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities", Kramatorsk and the city of Khust, Zakarpattia Oblast, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by the Head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration Oleksandr Honcharenko and the Acting Mayor of Khust Vasyl Hubal.
The initiative "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities" is aimed at strengthening cooperation between communities from different regions of Ukraine. Its main goal is to unite efforts for the restoration, socio-economic development and support of internally displaced persons who have taken refuge in partner communities.
The memorandum between Kramatorsk and Khust identifies a number of priority areas of cooperation, including
- promoting economic development of communities, supporting entrepreneurship and creating new jobs;
- cooperation in education, culture, sports and youth policy;
- exchange of experience in the development of local self-government, organization of government work, and provision of administrative services;
- cooperation in the field of healthcare, social protection and work with internally displaced persons;
- development of tourism potential, preservation of cultural heritage and popularization of historical achievements of communities.
From now on, Kramatorsk and Khust will work on joint events and exchange programs aimed at implementing the outlined areas. It is envisaged to create conditions for ongoing dialogue and coordination of actions to achieve concrete results.
The signing of this Memorandum was an important step towards deepening partnerships between the communities of eastern and western Ukraine. It symbolizes unity, mutual support and the desire to jointly overcome the challenges of war and resistance to Russian aggression and, most importantly, to support those who have found refuge far from home in safer regions of our country.
