A Step Toward Accessibility: Compensation for Employers Hiring People with Disabilities

National Accessibility Week is another opportunity to highlight that equal opportunities in employment begin with employers’ openness and willingness to create accessible and comfortable workplaces for everyone.

Today, the state supports employers who hire people with disabilities, as an inclusive labor market is about respect, dignity, and the development of a barrier-free society.

One of the effective support mechanisms is compensation for actual labor costs.

Employers are entitled to compensation amounting to 50% of actual labor costs, but not exceeding the minimum wage, for hiring people with disabilities who have not reached retirement age and have been registered as unemployed for more than one month, provided they are employed for a period of at least one year.

Such initiatives help employers find motivated employees, while giving people the opportunity to secure stable employment, achieve financial independence, and realize their potential.

Accessibility means that everyone has the opportunity to work, grow, and contribute to a shared cause.
