On 27 January, at the volunteer hub "Good morning, We Are from Mariupol Volunteer Hub hosted a working meeting between Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, and Serhiy (Gorobtsov), Metropolitan of Donetsk and Mariupol, Head of the Donetsk Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, and Head of the Synodal Department for Social Service and Charity of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
During the meeting, urgent issues related to the activities of the volunteer hub were discussed, as well as areas of cooperation in the cultural sphere, in particular, the issue of holding cultural and educational events and initiatives aimed at preserving Ukrainian cultural identity, developing interfaith dialogue and strengthening social cohesion in conditions of martial law.
Particular attention was paid to the role of culture and spiritual values in shaping patriotic consciousness, as well as the importance of interfaith harmony as a factor in social stability and countering the destructive ideological influences of the aggressor state.
Such working meetings at the regional level contribute to the establishment of constructive interaction, the coordination of approaches to the implementation of cultural and educational initiatives, and the maintenance of interfaith harmony in Ukrainian society.
