The Donetsk Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the 18th Slovyansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, continues to present the project “Untold Stories: Chasiv Yar: 2 Years of Defense.” On June 10, the film was screened for cadets and faculty members of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs in Kropyvnytskyi.

The presentation was attended by Anna Fesenko, head of the regional state administration’s strategic communications department; Major Natalia Kostanda, project manager; and Captain Nikita Tafiychuk, the film’s cinematographer from the 18th Brigade.

Also in attendance were servicemen from the “Donbas” battalion: Hero of Ukraine Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Rogovskyi and Sergeant Oleksandr Dubyna.

Before the screening began, those present honored the memory of Ukraine’s fallen defenders with a moment of silence.

The film *Untold Stories: Chasiv Yar: 2 Years of Defense* was created using unique video footage shot by soldiers of the 18th Slovyansk Brigade while carrying out combat missions in Chasiv Yar. The film also features interviews with Ukrainian soldiers who defended the city for a long time and became firsthand witnesses to the events on one of the most critical fronts of Ukraine’s defense.

After the screening, the cadets spoke with the project’s creators and the soldiers, asking about the defense of Chasiv Yar, service in National Guard units, and the defenders’ personal combat experiences.

The presentation also featured a photo exhibition by Ukrainian photographer Yakiv Lyashenko, who, since the start of the full-scale invasion, has focused his work on documenting the consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
