Stanislav Oliferchyk from Mariupol wins silver at the U.S. Diving Cup

On April 16-19, the U.S. Diving Cup took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, serving as a crucial stage in the athletes’ preparation for upcoming international competitions, particularly the World Cup Super Final scheduled for early May.

Representing the Donetsk region in the Ukrainian national team was Stanislav Oliferchyk from Mariupol – an international-class master of sports of Ukraine in diving, an athlete of School of higher sportsmanship in Donetsk oblast, and a scholarship recipient from the Donetsk region state administration.

In the synchronized 3-meter springboard event, Stanislav Oliferchyk and Kyiv representative Kirill Bolyukh won the silver medal with a score of 397.47 points. This was the duo’s first international award, as they only made their debut as a pair last year.

Additionally, the athlete from Donetsk oblast took 4th place in the individual 3-meter springboard diving competition. Stanislav scored 426.35 points – falling just 4.4 points short of the top three. This result marked his personal best in international competition.

Stanislav Oliferchyk’s coach is Anatoliy Holovan, an honored coach of Ukraine.

It should be noted that in the overall team standings of the U.S. Diving Cup among 18 participating countries, the Ukrainian team took second place, winning five medals: one gold, three silver and one bronze.
