Families with children from Mariupol joined the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” which aims to strengthen ties between communities and create new opportunities for communication, support, and shared leisure activities.
As part of the project, in collaboration with the YaMariupol Center in Kyiv, a meaningful family event was organized for children and their parents at the Kyiv Children’s Railway. It was a wonderful opportunity not only to spend time actively but also to meet peers from other communities and feel like part of a large Ukrainian family.
A diverse program was prepared for the participants. The children enjoyed interactive games, contests, quizzes, an entertainment program, and a spectacular chemistry show, during which they watched interesting experiments and even tasted unusual “space popcorn.”
The trip on the Kyiv Children’s Railway through the picturesque Syrets Park served as a vibrant conclusion to the event. During the trip, the children learned more about how the railway operates and the professions associated with it, and they had a wonderful time.
Such initiatives are an important part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, as they help children discover new places, make friends, and create warm memories.
