One of the most important attributes of statehood and a guarantor of Ukraine's security and freedom is its Armed Forces. On December 6, Ukrainians celebrate one of their most important national holidays—Armed Forces Day. Every day, thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers defend the country on the front lines, guarding its borders on land, at sea, and in the air. On the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are telling you about the branches of the Ukrainian army.
The Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are an important component of the country's defense system, responsible for providing medical care to military personnel in peacetime and wartime. Their activities are aimed at preserving the life and health of our soldiers, providing them with qualified medical care, ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the troops, and conducting medical and psychological rehabilitation.
From the first days of the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine, military medics have been continuously providing medical assistance on the battlefield, evacuating the wounded, performing complex operations, and carrying out rehabilitation. Their work takes place in extremely difficult conditions, under constant shelling, but they do everything possible to give the wounded a chance for the future.
Medical forces quickly adapted to new challenges during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, organizing medical support for military units even when surrounded by the enemy. Their work became a key element in the survival and restoration of the combat capability of Ukrainian forces on various fronts.
The servicemen of the Armed Forces Medical Forces are angels who save lives and protect the health of the military who defend our freedom and independence.
