In conditions of a full-scale war, knowledge that helps to save lives, act correctly in dangerous situations and support people nearby becomes especially important. That is why residents of the Donetsk region continue to undergo training in the basics of national resistance.

The next wave of training was organized with the assistance of the Platform "Center for Unity and National Resistance" of the Donetsk region in cooperation with regional centers for training citizens for national resistance.

Training for residents of the Donetsk region is conducted by:

  • Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance - in the city of Dnipro;
  • Kirovohrad Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance - in the city of Kropyvnytskyi;
  • Poltava Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance - in the city of Poltava;
  • Kremenchuk Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance - in the city of Kremenchuk.

The main goal of the exercises is not to turn civilians into military personnel, but to provide them with the basic knowledge and practical skills necessary for survival and mutual assistance. In a critical situation, it is the right actions in the first minutes that can save a person’s life.

During the training, participants master the basics of first aid, mine safety, civil defense, orientation in the terrain, safe behavior during shelling and other emergency situations. Special attention is paid to evacuation algorithms, rules for arranging a safe place, psychological resilience, teamwork and interaction with relevant services.

Participants not only listen to theoretical explanations, but also practice the knowledge they have gained in practice. This allows them to better understand the procedure, learn to quickly assess the situation, not panic and make responsible decisions.

For residents of the Donetsk region, many of whom already have experience of living under shelling, evacuation and forced displacement, such training is especially important. They help to systematize acquired knowledge, correct possible mistakes and increase self-confidence.

National resistance begins not only with weapons. It begins with awareness, responsibility, unity and readiness to help each other. A person who knows how to stop bleeding, recognize a dangerous object, act correctly during an air raid or organize an evacuation becomes an important part of the community's resilience.

Cooperation of the Platform "Center for Unity and National Resistance" of Donetsk region with the centers of Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Poltava regions allows residents of Donetsk region to undergo high-quality training in different cities of Ukraine. This is an example of interregional interaction, combining resources and experience for the common goal of preserving people's lives and strengthening the resilience of the state.

The next stage of the exercises confirmed: the desire of citizens to gain practical knowledge remains high. After all, preparedness is not a manifestation of fear, but a manifestation of responsibility for oneself, one's family, community and country.

The main thing is to survive. To help others survive. To be ready to act together.
