The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has extended the deadline for submitting proposals for the Competition for Projects to Promote Ukrainian National and Civic Identity. Civil society institutions whose projects require financial support for implementation in 2026 are invited to participate.

Organizations planning to receive state funding for the implementation of their initiatives (within the limit of UAH 600,000) can submit applications until February 22, 2026 (until 23:59).

The competition is an opportunity to implement important, meaningful, and modern projects that respond to today's challenges and engage citizens in the processes of state building.

The priority tasks of the competition are:

  • forming Ukrainian civic identity among the population based on social and state (national) values;
  • to shape defense awareness and civic resilience;
  • to promote the history of Ukraine;
  • to develop critical thinking and media literacy;
  • to affirm Ukrainian national and civic identity among Ukrainians abroad and in temporarily occupied territories;
  • to promote and preserve Ukraine's cultural heritage.

Applications can be submitted at:https://grants.vzaemo.diia.gov.ua/contests/632913e0-eafc-11f0-83ef-b5baf251d231

In the context of a full-scale invasion, Ukrainian national and civic identity has become an element of national security. The competition provides the public sector with resources to create high-quality content, educational courses, exhibitions, training sessions, and digital products that will help Ukrainians remain united.
