The cooperation between educators from the Bakhmut community and the Saldu community (Latvia) continues. Within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation, an online meeting of English teachers from both communities was held on the topic: "Teaching English without borders: sharing experience and inspiration."
International cooperation is a powerful catalyst for the professional development of teachers and expands educational opportunities for students. Latvian colleagues shared their practical experience of participating in the Erasmus+ project and presented the opportunities of e-Twinning project-based learning.
Ukrainian educators presented current international opportunities. Iryna Kovalenko, deputy director of Bakhmut School No. 5, spoke about the ENGin program for improving language and intercultural competencies. Olga Osolodkova, an English teacher at Bakhmut School No. 18, shared her experience of participating in the People in Need project, which helps to make up for educational losses.
During interactive sessions, participants had the opportunity to experience a sense of unity in their professional values, find common ideas for future initiatives, and outline potential areas of cooperation — from organizing English clubs to joint lessons and video projects.
Such meetings demonstrate the initiative and openness of teachers to new educational trends.
Ukraine and Latvia — together! We believe that this meeting is a continuation of friendly cooperation and the beginning of new international projects in 2026.
