At the State Educational Institution "Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education," which continues its work under relocation conditions to the village of Hoshcha in the Rivne region, a celebration of the completion of the 2024–2025 academic year took place. On this special day, students were recognized for their achievements in learning, active participation in cultural and community life, and volunteer initiatives.
This year, the festivities became part of the regional project "My Donetsk. My Home. My Fortress," initiated by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin. The goal of the project is to strengthen national-patriotic education among youth and to foster a conscious attitude towards the defense of the state.
Military personnel from the 61st Separate Steppe Mechanized Brigade joined the event. The soldiers spoke about the conditions of service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as the significance of modern weaponry on the battlefield.
Particular attention was drawn to the location of the "Legion" drone battalion of the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade. The military demonstrated the types of drones used for reconnaissance, fire adjustment, and carrying out special tasks. Participants had the opportunity not only to see modern unmanned aerial vehicles up close but also to observe the drone's ascent into the air – the same type that currently operates daily on the front lines.
This day united the solemnity of the end of the academic year and the profound meaning of civic choice. Such meetings help the youth of Donetsk region realize their strength, responsibility, and place in the future after our Victory.
