On June 5, 2026, a rally for World Environment Day was held, organized by the platform "Center for Unity and National Resistance" of Donetsk region together with the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the regional state administration on the basis of the Museum of the Modern Russian-Ukrainian War.
Despite all the challenges of today, the event brought together active and caring people from different corners of the region. The youth of Kurakhivska, Pokrovska, Velikonovosilkivska, Volnovakha, Maryinska and Konstantinovska communities actively joined the environmental initiative.
With joint efforts, the participants brought the territory into order, demonstrating that caring for their native land and preserving historical memory are inseparable parts of our identity. Holding the toloka precisely on the basis of the Museum of the Modern Russian-Ukrainian War has deep symbolism, because Russian aggression causes colossal damage not only to Ukrainian cities, but also to the ecosystem of our region. The symbolic restoration and improvement of this location by the forces of young people from different communities once again demonstrated the unity of the Donetsk region, unwavering faith in victory and the desire for the future green revival of Ukraine.
