On January 22, 2026, an event called "The Power of Our Unity Is in Every Step" took place in Dnipro. Young people from the Donetsk region, who currently live in Dnipro due to the full-scale war, took part in the event.

The central part of the event was carrying a huge Ukrainian flag through the main streets of the city. For young people from Donetsk Oblast, this march was an opportunity to remind themselves once again that they remain part of a single country, despite being forced to relocate.

Each step under the blue and yellow flag was not just part of the route, but a symbol that the connection with their homeland has not been severed. The participants emphasized that unity is when people from different parts of the country work together for a common goal.

Lilia Zolkina, head of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, spoke at the event. She drew attention to the fact that the unity of young people today is a practical contribution to victory.

"Today, we are not just walking through the streets — we are moving step by step towards victory. Our strength lies in unity, in a common goal, and in the fact that we stick together, regardless of where we were born or where we are now," said Lilia Zolkina.

This event, organized jointly with the Dnipro Youth Center, confirmed that Ukrainians remain united. The final part of the campaign was clear evidence that the youth of Donetsk Oblast had not simply adapted to the new conditions, but had become an active voice for their region during the evacuation. They do not feel like guests in other communities, because Ukraine is their shared and indivisible home.
