The Donetsk Youth Palace “Yunist” announces the launch of a regional online photo and video contest titled “The World in Ukrainian,” dedicated to Ukrainian Language and Literature Day.
Contest categories:
- “Language on Film” – a vivid video presentation on the history, interesting facts, colorful dialects, and uniqueness of the Ukrainian language.
- “Language Treasures” – a creative, exploratory presentation of rare words, archaic vocabulary, regional dialectal expressions, or modern neologisms (meanings, origins, and examples).
- “Best Meme About the Ukrainian Language” – spot-on humor and witty visual stories about the peculiarities, subtleties, and charms of the native language.
- “The Ukrainian Language Around Us” – photo stories about the aesthetics of language in everyday life (signs, books, clothing prints, elements of the urban landscape).
We invite students from general secondary, extracurricular, vocational, pre-higher, and higher education institutions in the Donetsk region to participate. There is no limit on the number of participants from a single institution!
October 8–27, 2026—the overall duration of the contest.
Through October 16, 2026 (inclusive) — submission of contest entries and applications.

October 20–23, 2026 (inclusive)—open online voting on the Palace’s official website at https://yunist.org.ua Anyone can participate in the voting and support the participants!
