Participant of the Regional Competition "Young Person of the Year – 2025" in the Nomination "Youth Worker of the Year" Emma Baryna
Emma Baryna was born in 1996 in the village of Udachne, Pokrovsk district. From childhood, she showed a special ability to connect with children and dreamed of a world where every child would have access to quality education.
After receiving her professional education at the Krasnoarmiisk Pedagogical College and Donbas State Pedagogical University, Emma returned to her native village, where she began her professional career – first as an educator, and later as the head of Udachne Preschool Educational Institution No. 20 "Chervona Shapochka" (Little Red Riding Hood).
In her work, Emma demonstrates a high level of organization, responsibility, and dedication to her chosen profession. She actively cooperates with local authorities, state structures, and participates in socially important community initiatives.
With the start of the full-scale invasion, the daily life of the kindergarten fundamentally changed: education shifted to a distance format, and a "Point of Invincibility" was set up on the premises of the institution. It was thanks to Emma Baryna's initiative, leadership, and determination that the kindergarten became a true fortress of aid – not only for local residents but also for internally displaced persons and military personnel.
The preschool staff daily prepared food, received, sorted, and distributed food products for servicemen and everyone in need of help. Emma personally participated in each of these processes, inspiring the team by her example. Under her leadership, the kindergarten became a place where everyone felt warmth, care, and support.
In addition to her primary professional activity, Emma Baryna is an active member of the youth council under the Udachne Village Military Administration. Together with other members of the youth council, she assisted the Humanitarian Headquarters under the Udachne Village Council in manufacturing trench candles and fire starters for the defenders of Ukraine. She also repeatedly participated in unloading humanitarian aid for the residents of her native village.
Emma is constantly engaged in self-education and improving her qualifications. For her conscientious work, professional mastery, and active participation in community life, she has received a number of honorary awards. Among her achievements are prize-winning places in the regional video contest-presentations on national education "National Education – the Future of the State" in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years, where her works were recognized as the best video presentations of a preschool educational institution.
Emma Baryna puts her heart and soul into educating and raising children every day. She is a high-level professional, an experienced leader, an inspired and purposeful individual who serves as an example for colleagues and a source of inspiration for the entire community.
