Participant in the regional competition “Young Person of the Year – 2026” in the “Knowledge Leaders” category Daria Duzenko
Daria Duzenko has been working as an elementary school teacher at the Hrodiv General Education School in Donetsk Oblast for nearly twelve years. She received her teaching degree from the Krasnoarmiysk Pedagogical College and the Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.
In 2018, Daria became one of the first teachers to implement the New Ukrainian School reform in practice. Together with a colleague, she developed a segment of a paired lesson for the Pokrovsk District’s teaching guide, and in 2020, she won the district round of the “Teacher of the Year” competition in the “Elementary Education” category.
After the evacuation of residents of the Hrodiv community due to hostilities, the teacher adapted the educational process to a remote format, developing her own interactive materials for students in various regions of Ukraine.
The teacher involves her students in creative and patriotic activities. Over the past year, she personally won one first-place, two second-place, and one third-place finish in regional poetry recitation competitions. Her students won the Grand Prix, five first-place, three second-place, and two third-place finishes at the regional level. Also, under her leadership, the school took second place in the regional competition “The Creative Power of the Unbreakable” with a patriotic video.
