Participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition, “Impulse of Youth Initiatives” category Dmytro Afendikov
Dmytro Afendikov, from the village of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, earned his basic secondary education certificate with honors in 2026. He is a multiple prize winner of regional academic competitions in mathematics, biology, and English. Since 2022, Dmytro has headed the student council at his high school, where, amid remote learning, he established a virtual space for student communication.
Dmytro’s main technical achievement is his participation in the “CyberJura” project. As captain and software developer for the “New Vision” team, he was responsible for data visualization on the ArcGIS Online StoryMaps platform. The team won first place in the national competition in 2025 and second place in 2026, and also placed fourth in the international CyberJura Wargame Simulation competition.
In addition to his studies, Dmytro is involved in volunteer work. From December 2025 to March 2026, he participated in the “Support Yourself! Help the Armed Forces of Ukraine!” project, where he organized stress-relief activities for young people and raised funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
