Participant in the regional contest “Young Person of the Year – 2026” “Heart of Victory” category: Yelyzaveta Kukovska
Yelyzaveta Kukovska was born in the village of Novy Komar, Velykonovosilkovska Community, Donetsk Oblast. In 2020, she graduated from high school with honors and enrolled at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, majoring in “Law Enforcement.”
In 2023, she earned her bachelor’s degree with honors and was promoted to senior lieutenant in the police force, and in 2025, she completed her master’s degree. During this same period, she participated in the activities of the “New Horizons” youth center at the Rozdolne House of Culture.
From April 2023 to April 2025, Yelyzaveta worked as an inspector in the personnel support sector of the Volnovakha District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast.
On May 22, 2025, she signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She is currently continuing her military service, participating in the defense of the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
Having gone from a university graduate to a National Police officer and then a military servicemember, Yelyzaveta Kukovska is an example of today’s Ukrainian youth who combines professional development with the defense of the country.
