Participant in the regional competition “Young Person of the Year – 2026” in the “Knowledge Leaders” category Liana Arakelyan
Liana Arakelyan is the director of the Kramatorsk Center for Public Physical Health “Sport for All” and an experienced artistic gymnastics coach. Her athletic career began at the age of six at Kramatorsk Children’s and Youth Sports School No. 2. It was sports that forged her character, and her desire to remain in the profession paved the way for her to become a judge and instructor.
After earning her degree from Donbas State Pedagogical University, Liana rose from acrobatics coach to head of the city’s sports center. Today, she organizes large-scale events and nationwide projects, including “Side by Side: All-Ukrainian School Leagues,” MOVE Week, the “We Endured—We Will Win!” marathon, and the “I Honor the Warriors—I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine” race.
Liana is constantly honing her skills and studying methods of adaptive sports, first aid, and rehabilitation for veterans. Her significant contribution to the development of this field has been recognized with letters of appreciation from the mayor of Kramatorsk and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
“Knowledge is valuable when you share it. For me, the ‘Knowledge Leaders’ nomination is about the desire to teach, support, and inspire people through sports,” says Liana Arakelyan.
