Mykola Naidanov is a senior sergeant of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine whose life is defined by courage, responsibility, and devotion to both his country and his family.
Since beginning his military service in 2018, and especially after Russia’s full-scale invasion, he has defended Ukraine with professionalism, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his oath. His exemplary service has been recognized with the “Excellent Border Guard Service” distinction and the III Degree “Cossack Cross” award.
After the tragic loss of his sister and the disappearance of her husband while defending Ukraine, Mykola and his wife made the life-changing decision to become guardians of their two young nephews, providing them with a loving and stable home.
While continuing his military duties, he successfully raises three children, supports their education and personal growth, and remains a dedicated defender of his country.
Mykola’s story is a powerful example of resilience, compassion, and moral strength, proving that true courage is demonstrated not only on the battlefield but also through everyday acts of responsibility, care, and selflessness.
