Participant of the regional competition "Young Person of the Year - 2026" in the nomination "Heart of Victory" Captain Vladislav
Vladislav has been in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the end of 2017. He met a full-scale invasion in Pisky, where he received his first wound. Despite the opportunity to be discharged from service due to health reasons, after treatment and rehabilitation he returned to the front line and led an assault platoon, where he later received a second wound.
Today, Vladislav continues to serve and performs combat missions as part of the special forces center. All these years, the main rear and motivation for the military man remains his family - his wife and sons.
For his service and contribution to the country's defense capability, Vladyslav was awarded high awards: the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's "Cross of Military Honor", the Minister of Defense's "Firearms", "For Conscientious Service" and "For Exemplary Service" awards, as well as the President of Ukraine's "For the Defense of Ukraine" award.
Vladyslav Sotnyk's story is an example of resilience, professionalism and his own choice to remain in the ranks for the sake of protecting the state.
