Vladislav Tur, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Heart of Victory” category
Vladislav Tur was born in the village of Udachne in the Donetsk region. Having lost his parents at an early age, he and his younger sister Anastasia were raised by their grandparents. He earned a certification as an underground electrician at the Pokrovsk Lyceum, worked at a mine administration office, and later helped run the family café.
With the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, Vladislav joined a local volunteer unit. He cleared up the aftermath of shelling, helped the military with quartering, and participated in the evacuation of civilians and municipal property. At the village’s humanitarian headquarters, he made camouflage nets and trench candles, and at his family’s café, he treated the defenders to baked goods free of charge.
In late 2024, due to the deteriorating security situation, the family evacuated to the Poltava region. On December 24 of that same year, Vladislav was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After completing basic military training, Vladislav qualified as a drone operator and headed to the front lines to carry out his first combat missions.
