Yurii Zhonnik, Head of the Youth Council at the Donetsk Oblast State Administration, presented key achievements in regional youth policy to the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matvii Bidnyi, with particular emphasis on the exceptional interaction with the military. During this meeting, Yurii underscored the transformative role of youth councils. From consultative and advisory bodies, they've evolved into a driving force for community development, and with the onset of full-scale aggression, they've become true centers for consolidating youth initiatives and coordinating volunteer efforts. In Donetsk Oblast, a frontline stronghold of our nation, 29 such councils are currently operating, persistently adapting to new realities despite all challenges.

Yurii Zhonnik provided the Minister with a detailed presentation of concrete accomplishments, demonstrating the resilience and activism of Donetsk youth, as well as their direct involvement in supporting the country's defense. These achievements include a strategic session held in June 2024, where a media campaign project aimed at debunking myths on social media was developed and successfully implemented. Special attention was given to a tactical medicine training conducted by the Head of the Youth Council himself, who is an active serviceman and combat medic. This is not just a vivid example of how young leaders translate knowledge into practical assistance but also a direct indicator of the youth council's close integration into the region's military context.

A significant part of the presentation focused on the established cooperation with military units, which includes patronage support, active volunteer work, and direct assistance to veterans. Donetsk Youth Councils have become a reliable rear for our defenders, organizing meetings with young servicemen and providing necessary support. The Minister was also introduced to a unique pilot program, "Leadership for the Restoration of Donetsk Region," developed at the initiative of Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration. Its goal is to train future leaders who will form the human resource potential for the region's recovery, promote the preservation of regional identity, and motivate young people to acquire new knowledge. This program is an investment not only in the future of the oblast but also in strengthening its defense capabilities through the development of leadership qualities.

Finally, the Head of the Youth Council highlighted that youth councils conduct information work, organizing educational campaigns aimed at countering disinformation, fostering patriotic spirit, and forming active civic positions. They also provide psychological support, holding training sessions to overcome stress, and implement educational, cultural, and sports initiatives that contribute to preserving national identity and psychological relief. Despite significant achievements, Yurii Zhonnik acknowledged challenges such as security limitations and the psychological state of youth. He proposed solutions to the Minister, including strengthening security measures, expanding financial support, and developing psychological assistance.

Concluding his address, Yurii Zhonnik reiterated that youth are a key resource for Ukraine's recovery and development, and the Youth Council's mission is to ensure they have the necessary conditions to realize their potential and support their indomitable desire to victory.
