Even in the most difficult times, culture remains our support, and professional development — our weapon. In January 2026, the Ivan Karabits Bakhmut College of Culture and Arts became a true epicentre of pedagogical inspiration, successfully conducting a series of professional development courses for teachers of art schools.
This year, the educational initiative brought together 347 teachers who received a new professional impetus. Representatives of 20 extracurricular art education institutions in Donetsk Oblast joined the training. At the same time, the project confidently went beyond the region: teachers from Lviv, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions joined the community of students. Such a wide geography convincingly confirms that the college is becoming a powerful methodological magnet for the whole of Ukraine.
The courses have become not a formality, but a living platform for the exchange of experience, ideas and professional insights. This year, recognised experts in the field of culture and art from other regions of Ukraine joined the educational initiative with their master classes:
• Mykhailo Levandovskyi (Kharkiv) raised the extremely relevant topic of motivating art school students in conditions of martial law;
• Svitlana Bilousova (Kyiv) immersed the audience in the depths of the musical thinking of a performing musician;
• Ksenia Silaeva (Dnipro) shared modern vocal techniques and practical tools for developing the voice in students of different age groups.
‘The knowledge gained today is the success of our students tomorrow,’ said the course participants.
