



From September 21 to 28, Shanghai, China, hosted the World Para Rowing Championships for athletes with musculoskeletal disorders, where Ukraine was represented by six participants.
Two rowers from Donetsk Oblast competed as part of the Ukrainian national team. They are scholarship recipients of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration and representatives of the Donetsk Regional Center for Physical Culture and Sports for Persons with Disabilities “Invasport” in the cities of Bakhmut and Sloviansk.
Roman Polyansky won a silver medal in the men's single sculls competition in the PR1M1x class. In the preliminary heat, he clocked a time of 9 minutes 2.15 seconds, and in the final, Roman finished second with a time of 09:02.74, behind only an athlete from Great Britain and ahead of competitors from Australia, Italy, France, and Germany.
Yaroslav Koyuda in the PR2Mix2x class, according to the results of the mixed double sculls competition, took 6th place together with Anna Aisanova from the Volyn region. In the preliminary heat, the Ukrainian crew's time was 08:37.80, and in the final – 08:56.85.
Roman and Yaroslav are distinguished masters of sports of Ukraine and train under the guidance of Ukrainian national team coaches Georgy Verteletsky and Vyacheslav Zagreba.
