On February 11, 2026, a sports festival dedicated to the 131st anniversary of volleyball was held in the village of Kropyvna in the Cherkasy region. This wonderful event was organized by the Shakiv community together with the Kropyvnyanskyi starosta of the Zolotonosha community as part of the "Side by Side: United Communities" project, which aims to bring people together and strengthen ties between communities.
Sport is not only a competition, but also an important component of spiritual unity, giving strength, energy, and the opportunity to create new friendships. Friendly volleyball matches brought together displaced persons from the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, creating an atmosphere of support and solidarity.
The roar of the crowd, the emotions on the athletes' faces, and the bursts of applause made this celebration truly unforgettable. The participants demonstrated not only their physical fitness, but also their thirst for victory and desire to be part of a large sports family.
This day reminded everyone that, regardless of circumstances, sport has the potential to unite people and overcome any obstacles. Together we are stronger!
