On June 26, a regular meeting of the Advisory Council on War Veterans and the Families of Fallen (Deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, affiliated with the Donetsk Regional State Administration, was held under the chairmanship of Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration.

During the meeting, participants discussed current issues related to the implementation of the state’s veteran policy in the Donetsk region, the development of a support system for war veterans and their families, and the coordination of efforts among government agencies, institutions, and civil society organizations to ensure comprehensive assistance to the Defenders of Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of measures aimed at the rehabilitation and social adaptation of war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine through cultural initiatives.

They also discussed the provision of support services for veterans and their families at the “Poruch” Center for Veterans and Their Families, as well as the work of specialists providing support to war veterans and demobilized personnel in the Donetsk region.

Implementing these measures is an important step toward ensuring comprehensive support for war veterans and their families, as well as improving mechanisms for cooperation in the field of veterans’ policy.
