


On August 21, a regular meeting of the working group on assistance, social protection and support for war veterans, servicemen and families of fallen defenders of Ukraine was held. The event was chaired by Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Regional Employment Center, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Region, the Donetsk Regional Territorial Recruitment Center, and representatives of district state administrations, the Main Departments of the National Police, the State Migration Service and the Tax Service of Donetsk Region.
The participants discussed the implementation of state and additional social guarantees for these categories of people, as well as meeting the needs of seriously wounded military and civilians released from captivity who are currently undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in medical facilities.
Representatives of city and village military administrations informed about the measures already being taken, including the restoration of educational documents, provision of material and in-kind assistance, and provision of sanatorium treatment at the expense of local budgets.
Special attention was paid to the issue of restoring passports of Ukrainian citizens and taxpayer registration numbers to civilians released from captivity. They reached agreements on fruitful cooperation with the Main Departments of the State Migration and Tax Services in this area.
Following the meeting, the key areas for further work were identified. The working group will continue to coordinate joint actions to provide comprehensive support and assistance to our Defenders and their families.
