Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Igor Boiko took part in a meeting of the Donetsk Regional State Administration's Physical Culture and Sports Management Board.
During the meeting, important issues related to the development of sports in the region were discussed. In particular, they talked about approving the list of athletes from the Donetsk region who are candidates to participate in the XXXIV Olympic Games in 2028 in Los Angeles (USA) in 2026, the results of the admission campaign to the municipal institution “Donetsk Regional Specialized Professional College of Sports named after S. Bubka” for the 2025-2026 academic years, as well as the work of the Donetsk Regional Center for Physical Culture and Sports for Persons with Disabilities “INVASPORT” in 2025 and plans for 2026.
During his speech, Ihor Boiko emphasized the importance of supporting athletes and developing sports infrastructure.
"I want to address the athletes and coaches: your perseverance, discipline, and belief in your own strength are an example for the entire region. Remember that every step forward is a step toward a common victory. We believe in you and are ready to support you on your way to the highest achievements," he said.
The deputy head of the Regional State Administration also wished the participants of the meeting fruitful and constructive work, new ideas and decisions aimed at strengthening the region's sports potential and increasing the priority of sports in the life of Donetsk communities.
