On March 19, 2026, representatives of the business community and government agencies in Donetsk Oblast took part in a regular meeting of the regional platform “Government-Business Dialogue,” established at the behest of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to promptly address pressing issues faced by entrepreneurs and foster effective cooperation between the government and the business community.
This meeting was dedicated to the activities of healthcare facilities within the framework of the state program for guaranteed medical care for the population in 2026.
Marina Korneeva, Deputy Head of the Division for the Organization and Development of Medical Care for the Population at the Regional Health Department of the Regional State Administration, briefed participants on the activities of healthcare facilities in the Donetsk region in 2026.
In particular, they discussed the contracts concluded under the medical guarantees program, which ensures the provision of medical care at the 2025 level for both residents of Donetsk Oblast and displaced persons outside the region.
Special attention was given to the implementation of the state program “Health Screening 40+,” which has been in effect since January 1, 2026. The project aims to monitor the health of people aged 40 and older, enable early detection of risks for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health disorders, and ensure timely treatment. Currently, 16 healthcare facilities in the Donetsk region have joined the program.
The discussion was joined by heads of medical facilities operating outside the Donetsk region in areas with the highest concentration of internally displaced persons. They presented a list of available medical services and described the specific operations of their institutions. Attendees learned about the work of the Mariupol Regional Intensive Care Hospital in Kyiv, the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Clinical Traumatology Hospital in Kropyvnytskyi, and the Bakhmut Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital in Brovary and Dnipro.
At the end of the meeting, participants were provided with an explanation of how to use the “Health Screening 40+” program. Specifically, to undergo the examination, you must use the “Diya” app, request funds for the screening, transfer them to the appropriate wallet, and select a healthcare facility.
