From May 4 to 21, 2026, the Donetsk Youth Palace “Yunist” is hosting the regional online competition “Embroidered Amulets of Unity,” dedicated to Vyshyvanka Day. The event is organized in a remote format for students and educators at all levels—from general secondary to higher education institutions.
The contest aims to foster a modern Ukrainian identity and promote traditional clothing as a national cultural symbol.
Participants may submit their works in four categories:
- “I Am a Part of Ukraine” (individual portrait),
- “Unity in the Vyshyvanka” (group image),
- “The Embroidered Family” (family story),
- “Digital Vyshyvanka” (digital art using modern technologies or artificial intelligence).
A mandatory requirement for all creative works is the use of the vyshyvanka as the central visual element. To participate, you must submit an application and your entry by May 8, 2026, to the email address [email protected].
Additionally, as part of the event, an open online vote for the “Audience Choice Award” will take place from May 12 to 17 on the Palace’s official website at https://yunist.org.ua. Detailed requirements for the presentation of works and technical details are available via the QR code on the event’s official poster.
