Every day, participants of the “Recovery Army” join efforts that ensure the stable functioning of communities in the Donetsk region. They assist elderly people, individuals with limited mobility, and persons with disabilities. For many recipients, this support is critically important — from delivering humanitarian aid packages to providing basic care.
This year, 1,579 referrals have already been issued in the region for participation in community service work under the project.
A significant part of the work also involves critical infrastructure and protective facilities. In Donetsk region communities, participants are engaged in setting up shelters, carrying out routine repairs, restoring damaged buildings, and clearing debris after shelling. These tasks require prompt execution and allow people to remain and work within their own communities.
As of January 1, 2026, payment for a full month of community service is at least UAH 8,647. However, the greatest value lies in the experience gained, new skills acquired, and the sense of purpose and belonging to an important cause.
