Every year on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine and the world commemorate the victims of the Holodomor famines of 1921–1923, 1932–1933, and 1946–1947, the most terrible of which was the genocide of 1932–1933. Memory is our duty and our weapon.
Today, as Ukraine once again faces evil, we are more aware than ever of the price of freedom and the importance of unity.
