Donetsk region continues to work systematically  to preserve national memory.  For all those working in this area, a seminar was held with the support of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, dedicated to the practical aspects of applying Law of Ukraine «On the Principles of State Policy on National Memory of the Ukrainian People.»

The event aimed to develop a legal understanding of the principles of state policy on national memory, unify approaches to its implementation, and ensure the proper application of the provisions of the Law at the level of territorial communities.

The head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Oleksandr Alferov, welcomed the seminar participants and emphasized the importance of the proper implementation of the provisions of the Law in the activities of government bodies, local self-government, and the public.

The Institute's specialists — Olena Okhrimchuk, Maria Takhtaylova, Ivan Stychynsky, and Kostyantyn Polozhay — provided participants with detailed explanations of the key provisions of the Law, outlined the regulatory and legal basis for the implementation of state policy in the field of national memory, and familiarized them with the practical requirements for organizing educational, informational, and memorial work.

During the seminar, representatives of local communities had the opportunity to ask questions about the application of certain provisions of the Law, clarify the specifics of implementing measures at the local level, and receive professional recommendations tailored to the specifics of their activities.

The discussion served as a platform for strengthening professional dialogue and forming coordinated approaches to the implementation of state policy on national memory, which should contribute to the preservation of historical heritage and the strengthening of national identity.
