On April 9, representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs participated in a reception for the families of servicemen who are missing in action.
The event was organized in accordance with the Regulations on the Activities of Regional Working Groups of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Main Investigation Department, the Specialized Center for the Search for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, under the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast, the Donetsk Oblast Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the State Scientific Research Expert-Criminalistics Center, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
During the event, families received necessary consultations and explanations on current issues falling within the competence of the relevant services. They also discussed the main difficulties faced by relatives while searching for missing persons.
Holding such meetings helps foster cooperation between government agencies and the families of service members, improves coordination of efforts, and provides the necessary informational and advisory support.
