Every year on October 1, Ukraine celebrates Defenders of Ukraine Day. This day also brings together holidays that are important to Ukrainian identity—Veterans Day and Ukrainian Cossack Day.
To mark these holidays and in recognition of their special social significance, the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration is launching a regional campaign called “Thank You from the Heart.”
The main goal of the initiative is to express deep gratitude and support to the soldiers who fight every day for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
To join the campaign, follow these three simple steps:
- Make a handmade amulet for a defender.
- Deliver it to Ukrainian military personnel.
- Post a photo of the amulet or the moment it was handed over on social media with the hashtag #Дякуємо_серцем.
Communities across the region, youth workers, representatives of youth councils, the Regional Youth Congress, and active young people in Donetsk Oblast are invited to participate.
