The regional campaign ‘Give a Child the Gift of Reading’, initiated by the Donetsk Oblast State Administration, is underway in Donetsk Oblast. The initiative brings together communities across the region to support children, promote reading and foster a love of books as a key factor in intellectual, emotional and spiritual development.
Twenty communities and two district state administrations have already joined the campaign. It is significant that some communities are taking part for a second time, demonstrating their commitment, solidarity and willingness to support children on an ongoing basis.
Among the participants in the initiative is the Olginsk community. The head of the military administration, Artem Yefimenko, personally handed over the collected children’s books to a large family currently living in the city of Dnipro.
Every book donated is not only an opportunity to meet new characters and discover exciting stories, but also a chance to broaden one’s horizons, develop one’s imagination, gain new knowledge and discover the world of literature. It is particularly important to support children and create opportunities for their development, learning and creativity, regardless of their life circumstances.
