There are 187,000 civilians remaining in the Donetsk region controlled by Ukrainian authorities. Since the evacuation was announced in 2022, more than 1.3 million residents have left the Donetsk region on their own or have been evacuated.

The progress of the evacuation from the Donetsk region was discussed during a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, the Service for Children's Affairs, and the Department of Social Protection of the Population.

According to the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, 28,000 residents live in the active combat zone, which covers the territory of 21 communities. Over the past week, 3,640 people have left Donetsk region.

About 12,000 minors live in the territory of Donetsk region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. According to the Children's Services Department, 108 of them are in the zone of active hostilities – in the city of Druzhkivka.

In total, there are 413 minors in Druzhkivka and eight other settlements where families with children are being forcibly evacuated. There are 236 of them in the Mykolaiv community, 32 children in the Sviatohirsk community, and 37 children in the village of Serhiivka in the Andriivka community.

During the first month of this year, 285 children were forcibly evacuated as part of the evacuation of families with children, 109 of them in the past week.

A total of 152 children were evacuated from Druzhkivka, 110 from the Mykolaiv community, 18 from Serhiivka, 4 from Komyshuvakha in the Kramatorsk community, and 1 from Sviatohirsk.

The situation in the city of Druzhkivka is getting worse every day. In the last week alone, 3,200 residents left on their own or were evacuated. A total of 14,300 people remain in the frontline city.

The free resettlement of evacuated Donetsk residents to safer regions of Ukraine continues. According to the Department of Social Protection, 79 people have been resettled free of charge since the beginning of the year, 38 of whom were people with reduced mobility.

In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of Donetsk residents leaving through the transit point in the Kharkiv region. The vast majority of them have a final evacuation destination, so such families are helped with free train or bus tickets. Everyone who applies for free resettlement is given this opportunity.
