On November 5, an online meeting was held to coordinate the provision of financial or in-kind assistance to households in frontline areas to ensure a stable heating season in 2025–2026. The event was chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, as well as heads of structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

During the event, participants reviewed the current status of the implementation of the Procedure for providing one-time cash assistance for the purchase of solid fuel for domestic use to the population living in areas where hostilities are or were conducted during the heating season.

The meeting participants paid special attention to the issue of submitting additional lists of recipients of cash assistance for heating, compiled in October this year. Thus, the Donetsk Regional State Administration submitted additional lists for more than 1,200 households.

Representatives of the UNHCR and the Pension Fund of Ukraine announced the start of processing additional lists, as well as the completion of verification and preparation for payments to households living outside the 10-kilometer zone from the line of contact.

The issue of providing assistance for the purchase of solid fuel is extremely important for ensuring adequate living conditions for the population during the autumn and winter period. In cooperation with central authorities and international partners, the Donetsk Regional State Administration continues to work on the timely provision of assistance to all those in need.

The Donetsk Regional State Administration expresses its gratitude to its international partners — UNHCR, the International Committee of the Red Cross, UNICEF, the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need, the charitable foundations Angels of Salvation, NEW WAY, the Avalist public organization, as well as ACTED and SPIR — for their comprehensive assistance and support to the residents of Donetsk region under martial law.
