29 January is a date that will forever remain engraved in the historical memory of the Ukrainian people. On this day, we bow our heads in tribute to the feat of the Heroes of Kruty – young defenders who gave their lives to protect the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
In Donetsk region, a region-wide poetry day dedicated to the Heroes of Kruty, entitled ‘Above all, they loved their beloved land...’, will be held. The event is organised by the Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Centre for Culture in conjunction with the regional administration's Department of Culture and Tourism with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The artistic event is intended to honour all those who gave their lives for the independent future of our state.
Amateurs and masters of poetic word from Donetsk region are invited to participate in the event. Thematic video works based on original poetic works will be accepted until 27 January 2026 at the email address: [email protected] with the note ‘Dedication Day’.
The works of all participants in the campaign will be made publicly available under the thematic hashtags: #ДеньПрисвята#ДОНМЦК#ГероїКрут.
