On September 25, a meeting was held of the working group responsible for coordinating efforts in the Donetsk region to provide assistance and social services to war veterans, military personnel, and the families of military personnel who have been killed in action (either deceased or declared missing in action).
The meeting was attended by representatives of the structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Regional Employment Center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, district state administrations, district military administrations, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk Region, as well as military administrations of territorial communities whose residents include the aforementioned categories of citizens.
During the meeting, participants focused on current issues regarding support for individuals released from captivity, seriously wounded military personnel, and their family members.
Representatives of the territorial communities reported on the work carried out, outlined the current needs of these categories of citizens, and described the practical steps being taken to provide the necessary assistance and social services.
Special attention was given to issues of social adaptation and psychological support, the accessibility of social services, and ensuring an individualized approach to each family. Providing appropriate support to veterans, service members released from captivity, seriously wounded defenders, and family members of service members who have been killed or are missing in action remains a key priority.
Following the discussion, participants emphasized the need for continued coordinated cooperation among executive authorities, local governments, military administrations, and other relevant agencies.
This joint effort should be aimed at responding promptly to the needs of those released from captivity, seriously wounded service members, and their families; resolving issues in a timely manner; and further strengthening the comprehensive support system.
Special attention will continue to be paid to ensuring that every family in need of assistance receives it in a timely and targeted manner, taking into account their specific life circumstances.
