On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, another training was held as part of the project "Our Donetsk Region. Our home. Our fortress".
This time, the event was attended by students from Mariupol colleges relocated to Dnipro.
The training for the youth was conducted by soldiers of the 11th Army Corps - soldiers of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi and the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of Mariupol. Their presence was of particular importance, as these units are defending Donetsk region on a daily basis.
At the beginning of the event, students and teachers congratulated the soldiers on the holiday, thanked them for their protection and presented them with symbolic gifts.
Practical training took place at three locations: "Modern Weapons, Tactical Medicine, and Drone Pilots.
The young people saw the latest defense equipment, practiced basic first aid techniques and tried themselves as drone operators. The training was also observed by guests - participants of the all-Ukrainian training "Formation of National Identity: Experience of Defenders and Civil Society Institutions".
This format was a real discovery for the students. It was both an informative and exciting event that helped them realize how multifaceted and responsible the job of a defender of Ukraine is.
