On February 16, the order of the head of the regional state administration dated February 6, 2026, No. 80/5-26, "On Approval of the Procedure for the Use of Subvention Funds from the Regional Budget to the Budgets of Territorial Communities of Donetsk Region in 2026 for the Provision of Monthly Financial Assistance to Children Who Have the Status of a Family Member of a Deceased (deceased) Defender of Ukraine, military personnel of Ukraine captured in captivity, persons missing under special circumstances during military service, including those who have a declared/registered place of residence (stay) in the territory of Donetsk region and have moved (evacuated) beyond its borders."
In accordance with this Procedure, financial assistance in the amount of UAH 3,000 will be provided at the expense of the subsidy to a child under the age of 18, or if the child is enrolled in full-time education in vocational, pre-higher, and higher education institutions until the completion of education in these educational institutions, but not longer than until they reach the age of 23, who:
have the status of a family member of a deceased Defender of Ukraine;
are the child of a Ukrainian military serviceman who has been taken prisoner;
are the child of a person who has gone missing under special circumstances while serving in the military.
To receive financial assistance, applicants must submit an application to the local community at their declared/registered place of residence (stay), actual place of residence/stay (for internally displaced persons residing within the territory of Donetsk Oblast) in person or by mail with copies of the documents specified in the Procedure.
