On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, the Donetsk Youth Palace “Yunist” held a flash mob #BE_WORTHY.

November 21 marks the commemoration of two Ukrainian revolutions (2004 and 2013) that confirmed our choice in favor of freedom and democracy. Today, as we fight against the Russian aggressor, the value of freedom is our unshakable foundation.

Students from all levels of education, from general secondary to pre-higher vocational, joined the flash mob. A total of about 110 videos were received from 57 educational institutions in the Donetsk region.

Each video was powerful in its own way: some told personal stories, others read poems.

An online vote, in which about 1,000 participants took part, determined the “Audience Choice Award”:

- Milena Madey, Bilozerska Secondary School No. 18;

- Albina Cherkashina, Supportive Secondary School of the Myrnohrad City Council.

Based on the jury's decision, the Grand Prix was awarded to the members of the “Eco-blogging” club, Donetsk Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center.

First place

- Participants of the TEMP student self-government, Zoryansky Secondary School named after P. S. Dubrivny;

- Collective work of students of the Mariinsky Secondary School No. 2;

- Zlata Yushkina, Educational Complex “Lyceum with Secondary School” of the Konstantinovsky City Council;

- Hanna Pikinier, Secondary School No. 9 of the Toretsk City Military-Civilian Administration;

- The TACTON drama band, Bakhmut Professional College of Culture and Arts named after I. Karabits;

- Rimma Larkina, Svyatogorsk Secondary School I-III;

- 10th grade students of the Supportive Oleksandrivsk Secondary School I-III;

- The team of students of the Supportive Secondary School “Academic” of the Kramatorsk City Council.

The flash mob showed that dignity for children and young people in Donetsk Oblast is not an abstract concept. It lives in their words and actions.
