In the Donetsk region, the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game "Sokil" ("Dzhura") has concluded, uniting teams from the middle age category from all over the region. The event was traditionally organized by the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History of Student Youth.
This year, 29 teams participated in the competition - 232 participants from Andriivska, Bakhmutsk, Bilozersk, Velykonovosilkivska, Volnovakha, Vuhledar, Hrodivska, Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Illinivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhivka, Lyman, Mariinka, Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Novodonetsk, Oleksandrivka, Ocheretyn, Sviatohirsk, Selydivka, Siversk, Sloviansk, Soledar, Toretsk, Udachne, Chasiv Yar, Cherkasy, and Shakhiv territorial communities.
The competitions were held in an online format using modern digital tools: Telegram, YouTube, Google Docs, Google Classroom, and the "Vseosvita" platform. The program of the regional stage included the following competitions: "Vidun" - an intellectual quiz on the history of Ukraine; "Vporiad" - drill training; "Riatynyk" - providing first aid, solving situational tasks; "Taboruvannia" - organizing the team's living conditions, tying knots, serving as a sergeant; "Orienteering" - a video route with the identification of control points.
The winners of the regional stage of the game are:
- 1st place - the team "HaidaMaky" (Velykonovosilkivsk ZZSО I — III degrees No. 2), mentor - Viktor Pankov;
- 2nd place - the team "Cossack Dzhury" (Selydivsk Lyceum No. 1), mentor - Kristina Stovbun;
- 3rd place - the team "Cossack Glory" (Bakhmut School No. 12), mentor - Natalia Anisimova.
The winning team "HaidaMaky" will represent Donetsk region at the All-Ukrainian final of the game, which will take place in August 2025 in Transcarpathia.
