A large-scale regional specialized military-patriotic training program called “Warrior-Werewolf,” named after Volodymyr Bolgarskyi-Bulavsky, the leader of the OUN underground in the Donetsk region, took place in the Khmelnytskyi region. The event was organized by the Office for Family, Youth, and Public Events for National-Patriotic Education and the Department of Education and Science of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the aim of fostering a sense of national defense, resilience, and basic military skills among young people.

Throughout the week, boys and girls aged 14 to 18 participated in an intensive program that included marksmanship and tactical training using airsoft equipment and training simulation grenades, first aid, including practicing how to apply tourniquets and pack wounds on special mannequins, as well as mine and explosive safety and the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition to practical courses held at specially equipped venues, participants took part in cultural and educational events, team-building workshops, and evening bonfires. A particularly memorable highlight of the cultural program was the performance by artistic groups from the Ivan Karabits Bakhmut College of Culture and Arts, who provided entertainment and inspired the participants with their performances. The training camp concluded with large-scale team competitions, a summary of results, and a closing ceremony featuring an awards presentation.

Active young people from all corners of the region participated in the training camp, including students from a number of leading educational institutions and communities in the region. Among them were the Bakhmut Vocational College of Transportation Infrastructure, the Sloviansk Energy Construction Vocational College, the Kramatorsk Vocational College of Technology and Design, the Sloviansk Professional Agricultural Lyceum, the Mariupol Construction Vocational College, the Kramatorsk Higher Vocational School, the Kramatorsk Higher Vocational School of Trade -Culinary School, the Sloviansk Vocational College of Industry and Pharmacy, the Kramatorsk Center for Vocational and Technical Education, the Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education, the Donbas Vocational College of Technology and Management, the Toretsk Vocational Lyceum, as well as the combined teams from the Kostiantynivka, Bakhmut, and Dobropillia communities.

The event served as an important platform for fostering patriotism, uniting young people, and helping them acquire essential skills in security and defense in the face of today’s challenges.
