On August 22, 2025, the second building of the State Rehabilitation Institution "Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities "Donbas-Prykarpattia" in Ivano-Frankivsk region was inaugurated with a modern barrier-free water space created to support the physical and psychological recovery of children/persons with disabilities, war veterans, and active military personnel undergoing rehabilitation.

The project was initiated by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Head of the Regional Military Administration, and supported by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.

The opening of the water space was an important event for the Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk communities, which united around the idea of supporting and creating a new rehabilitation tool for veterans, people with disabilities, and anyone who needs recovery and support.

In his video message, Vadym Filashkin congratulated the Center's management and team on this event and thanked everyone who made efforts to make the dream come true. This pool is not just a building. It is a new rehabilitation tool that will help veterans, people with disabilities, children and adults to restore their health, feel the power of life and faith in the future.

Olena Tokareva, Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Regional State Administration, presented the Center's staff with the Certificate of Appreciation from the Donetsk Regional State Administration in recognition of the institution's long-term work aimed at supporting people with disabilities and developing inclusive practices and took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

It is no wonder that this event took place on the eve of the celebration of the 34th anniversary of the restoration of our country's independence, when our people are fighting the Russian invaders for the life of their state, defending our freedom, honor, dignity and independence in the war.

This day is more than just an opening.

It is proof that together we are able to create spaces where everyone feels important, supported and heard.

May this pool give health, strength and hope to everyone who comes here. It is a symbol that together we are building a strong, united Ukraine.
