In the territory of Donetsk controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, there are more than 20,500 children remaining.

In the territory of the Donetsk region, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, about 274 thousand civilians remain. Among them are 20,587 children.  In the past week, 1,300 residents were evacuated.

The ongoing evacuation in the Donetsk region was discussed during a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives from the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work, the Children's Service, and the Department of Social Protection of the Population.

According to information from Dmytro Petlin of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work, about 25 thousand residents remain in the territories of communities recognized as active combat zones.

There are 161 children in this territory, reported the head of the Children's Service, Yulia Ryzhakova. In the Lyman community, there are 155 children, in the Toretsk community – 5 children, in the Komar community – 1 child.

Mandatory evacuation of families with children is ongoing in six settlements. There are 168 children remaining here. In the Druzhkivka community – 110 of them, in the Dobropillia community – 55 children, in Lyman – 2 children, in Kryvorizhzhia – 1 child.

In the past week, 61 children were evacuated. From the village of Novoselivka in the Lyman community, 4 children were taken out, from Oleksiyivka-Druzhkivka in the Druzhkivka community – 34 children. From the Dobropillia community, 23 children were evacuated, 17 of them from the city of Bilytske.

Free resettlement of Donetsk residents who need it continues in safer regions of Ukraine. This was reminded by Dmytro Pozharskyi, head of the Department of Social Services of the Department of Social Protection of the Population.

In the past week, 64 people were resettled for free – all who applied for free resettlement. Among these people are 17 children and 19 people with limited mobility.

Evacuation with free resettlement took place to the Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Transcarpathian regions. 26 of the 64 evacuated people went to live in the shelter of the charity organization "Save Ukraine".
