This was announced by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The children going on this trip come from families facing difficult life circumstances due to the war, the loss of their homes, or forced displacement. A safe space has been created for them to recover emotionally, communicate, and grow.
The session is held under the motto: “You are a spark of light. The world changes through you!” The program includes:
Art therapy and exercises focused on recognizing personal values;
Workshops with psychologists on resilience, emotions, and self-esteem;
A “day of silence” without gadgets — filled with walks and reading;
Writing a letter to their future selves with dreams for next summer.
Teachers, psychologists, and medical staff work with the children daily, providing warmth and support.
This summer, the center will welcome over 2,000 children. The project is being implemented at the initiative of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration and covers children with registered residence in the region, including those who have been evacuated.
The next session will begin on August 26.
For questions about children’s recreation, please contact the local social protection offices in your community.
